Scope and precedence
Avalab is a brand of Machinimatrix UG. In these terms, "Avalab" refers to products and services offered under that brand by Machinimatrix UG.
These terms apply to Avalab products unless a product, package, or individual file includes a more specific license notice. A specific license notice takes precedence for the material it covers.
Some products include or reference third-party assets, data, or example content. Those items remain subject to their own license terms.
Your own creations

Your own creations made with our tools remain yours.

You may use and redistribute your creations, including commercially, and may choose your own license terms for them.
- This also applies to project files, such as Blender files, that contain your creations, provided that you do not redistribute restricted Avalab or third-party material with them.
Software and source code
Do not redistribute Avalab software packages, installers, or bundled assets unless the relevant material is explicitly marked as redistributable. Product development and maintenance are financed through product sales.
Source code that is explicitly marked as GPL is distributed under the applicable GPL license. An open-source license for source code does not automatically apply to every file bundled with a product.
Supplementary data
Supplementary data may include images, textures, Blender files, Collada files, documentation, example content, and other assets. Unless such material is explicitly marked as redistributable, you may not redistribute it without our prior approval.
Some supplementary data comes from third parties and has separate license terms. You are responsible for observing those terms and avoiding infringement of third-party rights.
Avamesh
Avamesh, the developer kit included with Avastar, is distributed under CC BY 4.0. You may use, modify, and redistribute it, including commercially, as long as you provide the attribution required by that license and identify Avalab/Avastar as the provider of the original Avamesh model.
Consequences of violations and abusive behavior
Unauthorized redistribution, account sharing, attempts to obtain support for an unlicensed user, or abusive, harassing, or disruptive behavior toward Avalab staff or community members may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on access to individual support channels or community services. Technical support is available only to verified purchasers for their own licensed use.
This provision concerns support and community services only. Access to product downloads is governed separately by the applicable purchase and license terms.
Where appropriate, we may also enforce our rights under the applicable license, contract, or law.
When in doubt
Treat product-specific, package-specific, and per-file license notices as the authoritative source for the material they cover. If you are unsure whether a particular file, rig, texture, installer, or bundle may be redistributed, open a support ticket before publishing it.
